Celia Holman Lee: Unique designs that wowed!
THE MOST wonderful time of the year was full of smiles and good style, and we celebrated accordingly on the last RTÉ Today Show episode of 2023!
I joined hosts Maura and Dáithí, as well as some extraordinarily talented fashion designers, in the RTÉ Cork studios just before Christmas. We filmed a fun-packed show to round off the year perfectly.
The Holman Lee Agency models and I showcased an array of outfits, some which were high fashion couture creations, others more wearable for events or day-to-day activities.
Some of the designers who joined us for this special edition of the RTÉ Today Show included Mary O’Sullivan, Gregor Pituch, Anxhela Cerriku and Ejay Griffin.
Clothes from designers Aoife McNamara and Caroline Mitchell also featured and I wore outfits by Marion Murphy Cooney and Ber McNamara.
The talent these individuals have is incredible and the authentic designs and materials they use is exceptional. For example, Mary O’Sullivan created a dress tailored with inspiration from our very own historical Limerick city.
Using fine art quality prints of the city, the toile de jouy fabric sat beautifully on our model Ivanna McMahon.
The dress itself is breathtaking and was admired so fondly by all who saw it on the day and after the TV show aired.
As well as this, Irish-raised Slovakian designer Gregor Pituch showcased a pink outfit which was so artistic and gorgeous.
Gregor is great at experimenting with different fabrics, colours and textiles.
A Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD) graduate, Gregor is an artist of many aptitudes, including knowing how to work the runway!
