TWO LIMERICK locations have been listed in the top 10 Irish destinations to visit in 2024.

The list was compiled by Airbnb and is based on trending searches for future travel by users living in Ireland, from January 1, 2023 to September 30, 2023.

Limerick city comes in at sixth on the list while the county Limerick village of Adare, came in at eighth.

The Mid-West region did particularly well, with two Clare destinations of Miltown Malbay and Ennis also making the list.

Dublin also ranked as fifth, with the 3Arena welcoming Niall Horan for three nights in February, the Aviva stadium will see Taylor Swift take to the stage for three nights in June, and Croke Park will light up with Coldplay for two nights in August.

Wexford came in on top of the list as the most searched for future 2024 visits in Ireland, while the top global destination of a separate international travel list for 2024 saw Indianapolis, Indiana come out on top for Irish searches.
