New Rose of Tralee Community Festival launched

ROSE of Tralee Róisín Wiley, whose parents hail from Limerick, has launched an international festival which will bring magic to those “at the heart” of communities.
The New York Rose, whose parents are from Templeglantine and Kilmallock, launched the Rose of Tralee International Festival's Communities in Tralee, Co Kerry last week.
The festival will be holding community rose selections throughout the country from November through to March, offering local community groups a unique opportunity to raise funds and find their next community rose and rose escort.
“We want to bring the magic of the Rose of Tralee to your locality and celebrate the young people who are at the heart of your community, while supporting your local fundraising efforts. At these community rose selections, two ambassadors will be selected to represent their area and go forward to their county selection,” said a spokesperson for the Rose of Tralee International Festival’s Communities.
They added: “This rose and rose escort will represent your group at events throughout the year, helping to raise awareness and celebrate your good work.”
