Police investigating after man’s body found in Dublin

Police are investigating after a man’s body was found in Dublin.

Emergency services responded to reports of a man found unresponsive at a residence in Cookstown shortly after 1.10pm on Friday.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Dublin City Mortuary.

Gardai said they were investigating all circumstances around the discovery of the body.

The scene was preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau and the coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified.

A post-mortem examination is to be arranged and the results will determine the course of the investigation.
