Passengers on bus involved in fatal crash urged to come forward

Passengers who were on a bus involved in a crash with a car and a lorry in Co Meath have been urged to come forward.

Two people were killed and two others remain in a serious condition in hospital after the three-vehicle crash on the R132 at Gormanston at around 6.30am on Monday morning.

The driver of the lorry Wesley O’Reilly, from Dublin, and the Bus Eireann driver Paul Conway, from Co Louth, were killed in the crash.

The driver of the car, a woman aged in her 40s, and a teenager who was a passenger in the car, both remain in a serious condition in hospital.

The Bus Eireann vehicle was on the 101 route from Dundalk to Dublin and a number of its passengers were taken to hospital.

Gardai have renewed their appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them – in particular, anyone who was travelling on the bus and has not yet spoken to gardai.

People who were travelling on the R132 between 5.45am and 6.45am on Monday and who may have footage are also asked to contact gardai.
