Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on Dame Street, Dublin 2 this morning, Thursday, 30th October 2025.
Gardaí and emergency services responded following report of the collision, involving a pedestrian and a truck, that occurred at approximately 1.45am.

A male pedestrian (30s) was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has been removed to Dublin City Mortuary where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
There were no other injuries reported.
The Coroner has been notified.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have completed an examination of the scene and the road has been reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have taken images or recorded footage of the incident to not share it on social media platforms or messaging apps, but instead to provide it to investigating Gardaí.
Any road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were in the area between 1.30am and 2am are asked to make this this footage available to Gardaí.
