As viewers move more and more to an on-demand world, the role of acquisitions becomes paramount and Gráinne will be instrumental in growing this offering.”
Commenting on her new role, McAleer said she was “delighted” to join the Acquisitions team, adding: “There has never been such a rich vein of international content, and I’m looking forward to playing my part in bringing our viewers as much of that as we can to complement our fantastic home-produced programming.”
Gráinne McAleer will take up her new position as Acquisitions Editor with RTÉ in the coming months.
