The Late Late Toy Show hosted by Patrick Kielty is returning to Irish screens on Friday December 5

Following the return of The Late Late Show to Irish screens, RTE has announced the much beloved Irish family tradition of the Late Late Toy Show will live on December 5, 2025, hosted by Patrick Kielty. 

Ahead of the live broadcast, the RTE Toy Show team have begun travelling around Ireland to find this year's participants, from toy demonstrators to performers and proud county representatives.

Speaking on hosting last year's Toy Show, Kielty said: “Last year’s County Parade was one of my highlights of the Toy Show. The pride in the jersey and the standard of performances meant there was only one thing we could do -and that’s bring it back, bigger and even better this year. I can’t wait to see what fever dream fun comes our way in December!" 

Auditions to feature on this year’s Toy Show will be held in Cork, Galway and Dublin. Applications are currently open for both performers as well as toy demonstrators, they can be made to RTÉ’s official Toy Show application page. 

The iconic County Parade will also be returning for the 2025 festive season, with 32 children from across Ireland participating to show their county pride. 

So, whether your child wants to test toys, perform or take part in the County Parade, don’t miss out, get your applications in now.  

RTE has advised that applications to be a performer close on Wednesday September 24 meanwhile both the Toy Show toy presenters and the County Parade participants close on Wednesday, October 1.
