GoFundMe story
A young woman has set up a GoFundMe for her mother who is struggling to pay rent after a recent cancer diagnosis has turned their worlds upside down.
Zuzanna is fundraising for her mother who is going through "a really difficult period, financially, medically, and emotionally".
Her mother was diagnosed with a pituitary gland tumor and a large arachnoid cyst that needs surgery and is now struggling to work and pay her rent.
She said, "our complications as a family started last august, when my mom was referred for a an MRI through her GP because of concerns in her blood tests, and other long manifesting symptoms".
"The thought of losing my mom terrified me," Zuzanna said, "and I wanted her to have the most emotional support she could from me and my dad."
She said that unfortunately her dad decided to make the decision to leave them a couple months later, the day before Christmas eve, with no warning.
"This was a shock to my mom and left her bed bound and unable to deal with her own medical emergencies," the young woman said.

"She has been trying hard to find a job and reach out to any sources for help whilst waiting for her HAP application to be processed, but it's been to no avail so far. This is all happening as she is still awaiting on a appointment with an oncologist.
"She is extremely brave and not the type of person to reach out for help herself, but I want to give her the best chance she has in overcoming this extremely tough period in her life. She still priorities telling me it will all be okay, and for once, I'd like to be the one to show her that it will in fact be okay," she said in the GoFundMe.
Zuzanna's GoFundMe can be accessed here for those who wish to donate.
580 euro has been donated so far with a goal of €4.5K.
