LATEST: Search for missing Dublin man stood down as gardai issue new update

Bjorn Nostvold has been located safe and well

A garda appeal for help in locating a man who was reported missing in Dublin last week has now been stood down, gardai have confirmed.

Bjorn Nostvold, 45,  was reported as missing from his home in Cabra, Dublin 7, on Wednesday, July 23 - sparking a national appeal.

In an update, issued this Tuesday, gardai say Mr Nostvold has been located "safe and well".

No further details were disclosed publicly but a garda spokesperson has expressed thanks to the media and members of the public for their assistance during the missing person's appeal.
