Young man arrested after multiple vehicles set on fire at airport

A man has been arrested at Cork Airport after Gardaí attended the scene of criminal damage in the early hours of this morning Tuesday June 10, 2025 at approximately 1.15am.

A number of cars were set alight, including a minibus and truck, at the Cork Airport Business Park and the Cork City fire service extinguished the fires.

It's understood flights were unaffected from the incident.

One male, aged in his early 30s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
