In an update released on Tuesday, An Garda Síochána have said that they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a young man in Dublin in May of last year. 

The fatal shooting incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, 6 May 2024 on Knocknarea Road in Drimnagh, Dublin 12. 

Gardaí had responded to reports of multiple shots being fired at Knocknarea Road shortly after midnight. They subsequently discovered a man aged in his 20s at the scene who had sustained serious gunshot injuries. 

The young man died at the scene from his injuries. 

In Tuesday's update, gardaí said that two men and two women have been arrested in recent weeks in connection to the investigation.

The men are aged in their 20s and 40s and the two women are both aged in their 20s. 

All four have been released without charge while files will be prepared for the Director of Pubic Prosecutions. 

No further information is available at this time as investigations are ongoing.
