ALERT: Irish customers warned as nail product sold online recalled over 'electric shock' fears
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has issued a notice to Irish consumers that a popular UV nail lamp sold on eBay has been recalled due to major safety concerns.
The brand is BEAUTYLUSHH and the reported risk is electric shock. According to the CCPC, the power supply cable that comes with the UV nail lamp is not secure and so it may make contact with accessible live parts of the product, resulting in electric shock.
Such types of UV nail lamps are very popular among people who do their own nails at home and possibly at some salons.

The specific type or number of models impacted by the recall is SUN5 – 6462. The batch number is D24-2024-22427-1. The bar code is 5902802908650.
If you believe you may have purchased one of these UV lamps, the CCPC has advised you stop using it immediately and "discard the product."
They also advise to contact the eBay seller which can be done via your user account.
