A woman has been seriously injured in a hit-and-run scrambler crash in Dublin city.
Gardai are investigating the incident on Gardiner Street which took place at around 7.30pm on Thursday.
The woman, a pedestrian aged in her 60s, was struck by an electronic scrambler and seriously injured.
The e-scrambler driver failed to remain at the scene, gardai said.
The woman was taken to the Mater Misericordiae Hospital and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital.
The road was closed for technical examination and has since reopened.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses and those with camera footage of the collision to come forward.
