ALERT: Irish people told how to get €240 back on mortgage payments amid bank update

One of the big Irish lenders, PTSB, has written to customers to let them know how to get €240 back on mortgage payments 

PTSB Monthly Mortgage Cashback Offer has now been extended to existing home loan customers.

If you meet the eligibility criteria set out below, you will be able to receive 2% cashback on your scheduled monthly PTSB mortgage repayments until 31 December 2030, they said in an email to customers.

For example, a customer with a monthly mortgage repayment of €1,000 will be eligible to receive €20 back each month, that’s €240 in 12 months.

Eligibility criteria for the 2% Monthly Mortgage Cashback Offer:

- Have a PTSB Explore Current Account and;
- Make scheduled monthly PTSB mortgage repayments by direct debit from an Explore Current Account.
