Dry and sunny weather for the week ahead

As summer finally begins, Met Eireann has issued their weekly weather forecast that is looking promising for the coming days ahead.

On Sunday March 30, Mother's Day, Met Eireann said it will be mainly dry "with sunny spells and just a little patchy drizzle."

The highest temperatures will be 12 to 16 degrees with light to moderate west to northwest winds.

Later, it will be mainly cloudy with patches of light rain, drizzle, mist and fog.

Lowest temperatures will be 5 to 9 degrees in light southerly or variable winds.

On Monday March 31st, mist and fog will gradually clear and it'll be mainly dry with sunny spells and sunshine improving from the south as the day goes on.

Highest temperatures will be 13 to 16 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds.

Across Ireland, the high pressure will bring settled conditions and plenty of sunshine with dry with long clear spells developing.

On Tuesday April 1 it will be dry and sunny with highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees.

On Wednesday April 2 it will be dry and sunny again with highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees, coolest in the east and south due to a light to moderate southeasterly wind.

Temperatures will drop in the night with lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees.

Thursday April 3 will be another dry and sunny day with highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees.

For the coming weekend, high pressure is forecast to the northeast of Ireland, keeping the weather settled into the weekend.
