Two men were struck by a car driven by a teenager, with one man later passing away
A male in his teens arrested in connection with an investigation following an incident that left one man dead and another critically injured in Letterkenny in Donega, has been released without charge.
Files will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions and Garda Youth Diversion Bureau. Investigtions are ongoing.
Anthony and Martin Gallagher were walking the short distance to their home at Charlie Daly Terrace when they were critically injured after being struck by a car driven by a teenager at Lower Main Street shortly before 3am on Monday.
The men were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital with Anthony subsequently dying from his injuries, while Martin was transferred to Galway University Hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.
