Irish influencer Aideen Kate announces shock closure of her popular make-up brand

One of Ireland's most popular influencers Aideen Kate has announced that she will be closing her make-up brand True Beauty. 

The announcement has come as a major shock to her followers, with many leaving comments to say they "gasped" at the news. Other popular influencers such as Pippa O'Connor and fellow beauty brand owner Aimee Connolly have left messages of support to Aideen Kate on the post. 

In an emotional video shared on Instagram, Aideen Kate explained that the she struggled with the decision for a long time and that a number of factors has influenced her decision.

The influencer said: "True Beauty is unfortunately not going to be a thing anymore. I feel really emotional saying that out loud."

She continued to say: "Over the years, there were various different opportunities that came my way me to maybe start my own brand but it just never felt right. I really think timing is everything. My plan was always to go travel."

Aideen Kate said she originally planned to travel to Australia in 2020 but her plans were changed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, she said that desire to travel never ceased: "deep down I always had that itch to move abroad, hence why I'm in Dubai right now." 

In a final note, the influencer teased: "It’s not a goodbye it’s just a see ya later and you never know what might happen with True Beauty in the future."
