LATEST: 82-year-old woman who died days after incident at home in Cork named locally
The 82-year-old woman who died in Carrigaline, Cork on Tuesday has been named locally as Stella Nnadi of Garrydhu Drive, Kilmoney Road.
The woman, originally from Nigeria, has lived with her daughter in Carrigaline for over 15 years.
Gardaí have said that a post-mortem examination will be conducted on the body of the 82-year-old on Wednesday after an incident occurred at her home on Sunday.
They said: "While the woman did not initially require medical assistance, she subsequently became unwell. She was transported to Cork University Hospital on Tuesday, 25th February, where she was later pronounced deceased."

A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the investigation and he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a garda station in the southern region.
Nnadi's residence has been preserved for technical and forensic examination.
A Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed to lead the investigation and a Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to provide support and information to Nnadi's family.
Gardaí say that investigations are ongoing.
