Gardaí conclude search of house in Meath in relation to Elizabeth Clarke murder investigation

Gardaí investigating the murder of Elizabeth Clarke have completed their searches at a house in Navan, County Meath.

The extensive search of the property began last week after gardaí upgraded the case to a murder investigation.

Elizabeth, a mother-of-two, was living in Meath with her family at the time of her disappearance in November 2013 when she was just 24-years-old.

She was officially reported missing by her family over a year later in January 2015.

Gardaí have said that they are not releasing the results of the search due to operational reasons. Elizabeth's family have been updated on any developments in the case.

An Garda Síochána has appealed to anyone with information in relation to the disappearance and murder of Elizabeth Clarke to come forward. They have reminded people to not assume that gardaí know any information they may have and/or that it has limited value.

Given the time frame of this investigation, Gardaí are reminding the public that if they have any information in relation to the case and for some reason held back on information they may have had, to come forward now. An Garda Síochána wish to reassure them that they will be treated sensitively.

The investigation team can be contacted at Navan Garda Station at 046 9036100, through your local Garda Station or the Garda Confidential telephone line 1800 666 111.

Investigations are ongoing.
