Nine men were found in a shipping container at Rosslare Europort in Wexford on Monday morning, 27th January 2025.
According to the Irish Independent, it is believed that the men had come from Somalia and were in the container for up to four days.
One of the men had to receive medical attention while the other eight men were in good health, Gardaí said.
Six of the adult males have been refused leave to land in accordance with immigration legislation, Gardaí said.
One adult male has claimed international protection and will now be processed by the International Protection Office (IPO), according to An Garda Síochána.
Two of the males are believed to be minors and are now in the care of Tusla, Gardaí stated.

Gardaí attached to Wexford Garda Station, supported by the Garda National Immigration Bureau, are investigating all of the circumstances of this incident.
