The player from County Dublin won €1,000,500 from the Lotto Plus Million Euro Raffle on Saturday, December 21. The Lotto Plus Million Euro Raffle is an Irish National Lottery special draw where one Lotto Plus Raffle winner will win an extra €1 Million on top of their €500 win.
The County Dublin player purchased their ticket online on Thursday, December 19.
Speaking to the National Lottery, the delighted winner said: “When I got the call from the National Lottery, I thought they were looking for the €500 back – I was in complete shock to find out I had won €1,000,000 on top of the €500. I called the rest of the family and simply told them -’ You’re speaking to a millionaire!’”
Asked how they plan to use today’s winnings, they said: “We have plenty to keep us busy with family holidays, weddings
Meanwhile, another player, also from County Dublin, secured €46,813 after successfully matching 5 numbers and the bonus on Saturday, January 18 main Lotto draw. The winning ticket was purchased on the day of the draw from Spar, Strand Road, Portmarnock, Co Dublin.

In total, more than €6.5 billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 37 years ago.
In 2023 alone, €227.9 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
