Safety issues have been identified in two separate children's items which were available on Temu, an online marketplace known for their discounted stock, amid fears they could lead to choking.
The first of two recalls was for the popular Broun indoor swinging set. The risk of choking was reported to the competition and consumer protection commission due to the item featuring small wooden balls, a potential hazard if small children were to put these in their mouth.
At present, there are approximately 21 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
The bar code is 4131130148, with the batch number being 2023-536.
The second issue comes from a fun floating bath toy, which is in the shape of a turtle.

This product poses a threat to children's safety as it contains small parts, such as flippers, which a young child could place in their mouth and swallow, posing a choking hazard.
There are approximately 255 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
The bar code of this product is 2671457393.

Temu has contacted affected consumers regarding these recalls on behalf of the sellers, and reimbursements have been issued to those impacted.
