The driver of a car which was stopped by gardai in Waterford is facing prosecution after multiple offences were allegedly detected.
Members of the Waterford Roads Policing Unit on mobile patrol were alerted by the ANPR system to a vehicle which had had no insurance.
In a social media post, Waterford gardaí said: "The vehicle was stopped and the driver was a learner permit holder, driving unaccompanied, with no L plates displayed.
"There was no valid insurance on vehicle. The NCT was expired and the tax was out of date since 09/23."

The vehicle was seized under Section 41 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994 and gardaí say a prosecution is to follow.
