Popular toy store Smyths warns parents about crucial small detail ahead of Christmas shopping

Popular toy store Smyths have urged parents to be cautious when collecting any purchases in their stores through Click and Collect, and to plan their trip accordingly.

As many parents across the country start their big Christmas shopping, the store has warned that any orders being collected in store will be wrapped in visible packaging.

Their website reads,

"Are Click and Collect orders discreetly packaged?

"Please note your Click & Collect items will be in clear packaging with contents visible."

There's no doubt that a lot of parents across Ireland will be caught up in the rush of Christmas, but this small detail can save a lot of confusion for little ones.

The store has also urged shoppers to be aware of their extended Christmas hours this festive season.

Stores all over Ireland will be open until 10pm Monday to Friday until December 23, with the exception of a couple of stores.

Their free Click & Collect service will ensure your order is ready for you within 2 hours at your chosen store. This is subject to store opening times, order volumes and time order is placed. Smyths will hold your Click & Collect order for you at your chosen store for 2 days.

Order by 10pm for delivery in 1 - 3 working days, excluding orders for large or bulky goods and video game consoles. Delivery is Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Any orders placed after 10pm Friday and over the weekend will not be dispatched until Monday excluding Public Holidays.

This is only a guideline and is not a guarantee Smyths Toys are unable to take responsibility for any delivery delays which are outside of their control.

Smyths will make every effort to deliver all your items together and at the same time, however in some cases your order may arrive in separate consignments.
