ACTIVITIES/OTHER EVENTS

For those adventurers among the 75,000 strong group this year, a range of areas, events and fun activities are in store for the weekend in Stradbally.

Croí, a harmonious hub of music, movement and meditative activities will play host to a range of relaxing activities on Saturday, including a healing circle (12pm), a tarot card workshop (1pm) and an expressive dance activity (4:30pm).

The Theatre, Electric Picnic's stand-out arts arena last year, returns again with a strong Friday start featuring Ballet Ireland (12:30pm).

The Greencrafts village will allow attendees to create your own flower crowns, pottery, jewellery and more. The area is open from 10am-6pm each day, with the first hour (10am-11am) being the Greencrafts happy hour, where all workshops are free of charge. At 11am, the field then switches over to more specialist workshops.

Friday highlights include classes where you can make your own stained glass mosaic tile (free 10am-11am), make your own copper pendant (free 10am-11am), carving your own wooden spoon or making your own silver or copper ring (€15-25).

Other areas such as Survivor, Artlot, Transmission and Trailer Park will offer festival-goers a chance to go off the beaten track and try something new, so give them a try!
