A 120kg stash of cannabis has been seized in Co Meath.
Two men, aged in their 50s, were arrested by gardai in the intelligence-led joint operation with Revenue’s Customs Service on Tuesday.
A Garda spokesperson said officers seized approximately 120kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of 2.4 million euros in the Meath area.
“Two men in their 50s were arrested by An Garda Siochana and are currently detained at a Garda Station in County Meath under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996,” they said.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
