Funerals announcements announced for 23-year-old killed in Cork crash

Funerals announcements have been announced for Ricky Barry, the 23-year-old who was killed in a collision in Cork over the weekend.

Ricky Barry suffered fatal injuries in the single-car collision, which occurred in Rathanker near Passage West in Cork at approximately 2.30am on Saturday.

The 23-year-old was from Rochestown, in Co Cork.

Dearly loved son of Richard and Susan and devoted father of Ruby, loving brother of Cole, Oliver, Holly and Charlie, Dear grandson of Sean, Cathy, Noreen and the late Derry.

Sadly missed by his loving family, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Ricky will be reposing at the Temple Hill Funeral Homes, Boreenmanna Road of Jerh O’Connor Ltd on Thursday, February 29 from 4 to 5pm.

A requiem mass will take place on Friday, March 1 in St Patrick’s Church, Rochestown. The funeral will take place afterwards in St Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully.

Ricky has been remembered as a special person, who will be missed dearly.

"Love you always and forever Ricky, You had the most beautiful smile and beautiful personality, I will never forget how much Joy and happiness you radiated wherever you went. Rest in Paradise we love you," read one tribute to the young man. 
"The most beautiful person inside and out. Thank you for the wonderful memories we shared growing up together, that we will never forget. A very special person who we will all miss so much. Sending love and prayers to Ruby and all of the family at this time," wrote someone in tribute.
