The 2 Johnnies make history by launching Ireland’s first video podcast

BELOVED Irish comedy and chat show duo, The 2 Johnnies, have achieved a groundbreaking milestone by becoming the first full video podcast available exclusively on Spotify in Ireland.

This monumental achievement marks a new era in podcasting for the popular duo, Johnny B and Johnny Smacks.

The journey began in 2018 when The 2 Johnnies started their podcast from the spare room of Johnny B's home. Fast forward to today, with nearly 300 episodes under their belt, the podcast has evolved into a remarkable visual experience.

Their new home for podcasting is none other than the 20th Century Pat Fox Studios, a purpose-built facility in their hometown of Cahir, Co Tipperary. The studios are lovingly named after hurling legend Pat Fox, who has made an indelible mark on the sport and the local community.

In an electrifying twist to mark the momentous occasion, Pat Fox himself was invited as the inaugural guest to cut the ribbon on the new studios and join The 2 Johnnies in their lively banter.

During this special episode, Pat Fox reminisced about his glory days on pitches across Ireland, sharing insights, and offering candid commentary on the legendary Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh's famous quotes. The episode also delved into the enduring rivalry between county hurlers of the 80s and 90s.

Listeners and fans can now witness the dynamic duo's witty banter and engaging conversations in video format as "The 2 Johnnies Podcast Episode 294: Welcome to 20th Century Pat Fox Studios" is exclusively available on Spotify.

This groundbreaking move to offer full video content on Spotify has added a new dimension to podcasting in Ireland, allowing fans to not only hear but also see the hosts and their guests in action.

With their infectious humor and insightful discussions, The 2 Johnnies are sure to captivate their audience in this exciting new format.
