MUNSTER Rugby have issued a squad update ahead of their opening URC game of the season against Connacht in Thomond Park this Saturday afternoon at 5:30pm.

In some positive news, both Jean Kleyn (eye) and Ethan Coughlan (leg) have returned to full training. Kleyn returns having missed the majority of last season while Coughlan has recovered from an injury sustained against Bath last month.

Liam Coombes and Jack Daly will look to complete the return to play protocols with a view to a full return to training this week. The duo were both removed following head injuries against Gloucester earlier this month.

Dave Kilcoyne (shoulder) is increasing his training load with a view to returning to full team training.

Diarmuid Kilgallen will undergo a period of rehabilitation with the medical department for a leg injury.

Continuing to rehab: Brian Gleeson (shoulder), Cian Hurley (knee), Tom Ahern (ankle), Rory Scannell (ankle), Paddy Patterson (knee), Edwin Edogbo (achilles), Roman Salanoa (knee).
