Munster Rugby's Jack Crowley with his URC Next-Gen Player of the Season award

MUNSTER Rugby's star out-half Jack Crowley has scooped the 2023/24 URC Next-Gen Player of the Season award while playing a pivotal role in the Munster back-line throughout the season. His award was voted for by members of the media across all five nations.

This award is to recognise young up-and-coming talent and open to players who were aged 23 and under at the start of the season, and had earned no more than five international caps at the end of the 2022/23 season. They must also have played at least nine games in the 2023/24 URC season.

Crowley has been a key player for Munster Rugby this season, helping them to finish top of the regular season table with 97 points, including two tries in 12 games at the helm for the Irish province. In voting for Crowley, members of the media have dubbed him as “central” to Munster’s incredible run of form in 2024.

The Cork native joins his teammate Shane Daly with this award as Daly recently grabbed the URC Ironman award, having started all 18 regular season games for the province, racking up 1,430 minutes. The Ironman award recognises the player who has racked up the most minutes over the 18 rounds of the URC.

These awards arrive in one of the most important weeks for the province as they gear up to take on Glasgow Warriors in the semi-final of the URC this Saturday, June 15 at Thomond Park, kick-off at 6pm.
