JP McManus set to become a grand-dad again

LIMERICK’S racing tycoon JP McManus is to become a grandfather again – his only daughter Sue Ann Foley is expecting her first child.

Mr McManus, who already has two grandchildren, Vivienne and Katie – daughters of his son Kieran and his wife Anne-Marie - is said to be thrilled with the news.

Both Sue Ann and her husband, Killorglin man Cian Foley, are busily preparing their home, Islanmore Stud in Croom, in anticipation of the new arrival.

The couple were the centre of attention in the summer of 2007 when they exchanged vows at Martinstown Church outside Kilmallock. Following an intimate wedding ceremony the newlyweds joined in the region of 1,500 guests including family and friends at a specially erected marquee on the grounds of the McManus family home, Martinstown Stud.

In 2009, Sue Ann and Cian purchased the exclusive 400-acre Islanmore Stud near Croom.

The fine Georgian house which is set off with three acres of mown lawn, many mature specimen trees and exquisite gardens is believed to have been chosen by the couple because it offers enhanced security.
