Three Limerick businesses caught selling alcohol to minors in Garda test

THREE licensed premises in Limerick have failed a test purchasing operation carried out by gardaí to ensure that alcohol is not being sold to people under 18.

An Garda Síochána confirmed that they visited 14 premises as part of the operation, with three failing the test.

These businesses will now be subject to investigation.

In a post on Facebook, An Garda Síochána said: "We have visited a total of 14 licensed premises in Co. Limerick this week as part of a test purchasing operation to make sure alcohol is not being sold to youths.

"Unfortunately three premises have failed the test and will now be subject to investigation.

All businesses involved were informed of the operation once inspected."
