Limerick finalist Cici, a three-month-old miniature poodle
PUBLIC voting has officially opened for the Nose of Tralee 2025.
The competition, now in its 12th year, is a “nationwide celebration” of Ireland's beloved pets.
Thirty two finalists, one from each county, have been selected out of hundreds of entries.
This year's finalists include a mix of dogs, cats, and even a goat.
Limerick's 2025 finalist is Cici, a three-month-old miniature poodle with “a love for life and a nose for adventure”.
Cici's proud owner said: “Thought she might be small, she has got a personality as big as the hills of Ireland!
“Every day in her cozy home, she is on the hunt for new scents, new friends, and new treasures.
“Whether it’s sniffing out her favourite toy hiding under the couch or discovering the sweet aroma of flowers in the garden, her nose is always on the job.”
Kate McQuillan, organiser of the Nose of Tralee and owner of Pet Sitters Ireland, said: “The Nose of Tralee is always such a special event for us.

“The support from every corner of the country this year has been incredible – people are so proud of their local finalists.
“I can’t wait to see if this year’s winner will be a cat, dog, or maybe even our first ever goat Nose of Tralee!”
Voting will remain open until 5pm on Monday, August 18.
The winner will be crowned on August 19, with prizes including a hotel stay, a photo shoot, pet sitting vouchers and a range of gifts from Irish pet brands.
