Gardaí appeal for witnesses after house fire in Limerick city estate

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene

GARDAÍ are appealing for witnesses following an arson attack at a home in Kileely, Limerick city late on Tuesday night.

The incident of criminal damage by fire occurred on Tuesday, October 22.

Gardaí and the Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the scene shortly before midnight.

Three units from the fire service attended the fire, before returning to base at 12:30am.

No injuries have been reported at this time, and a technical examination of the scene has been conducted.

A spokesperson from An Garda Síochána said: "Gardaí are appealing for any persons in the Kileely area from 11:30pm on Tuesday, October 22 to 12:30am on Wednesday, October 23 and any persons that may have video footage, including dash-cam and mobile phone footage, to contact the Mayorstone Park Garda Station on 061 456 980, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station".
