Construction employers invited to Limerick roadshow on recruitment supports

TUS and Limerick & Clare ETB will both make presentations at the roadshow

LIMERICK construction industry employers are invited to attend an employer roadshow to learn more about the supports and services available to help them recruit and retain staff.

Intreo, the Public Employment Service are hosting the roadshow in collaboration with Limerick City and County Council on Tuesday, September 10 at the Strand Hotel, Limerick.

This networking opportunity is aimed at employers, sub-contractors and small/medium enterprises in the region and is free to attend.

The event will also include presentations from Limerick & Clare Education & Training Board (ETB) and Technological University of the Shannon (TUS).

It is a chance for construction industry employers to find out more about the supports and services available to help with recruitment and retention of staff.

There will also be information available about the recently launched Employment and Youth Engagement Charter. 

Joe Delaney, director of Services, Regeneration, Sports and Recreation at Limerick City and County Council says the roadshow is not to be missed: “I hope employers will join us at this roadshow to discover invaluable recruitment and retention strategies tailored for the construction industry. This free event is a unique opportunity to network, gain insights from experts, and learn about the latest supports and services available to help your business”. 

This event is targeted towards: employers and sub-contractors from the construction industry, Small/Medium Enterprise owners (SME) who are interested in finding out about the range of state supports available to them free of charge, HR managers who are currently recruiting, or planning to recruit in the near future, finance managers who would like to find out about the incentives/cost savings available for recruiting new staff, accessibility managers who would like to find out about the supports available for recruiting persons with a disability, training managers looking to address their staff training needs in a very cost-effective manner, and corporate social responsibility managers who want to support and inspire young jobseekers and other priority groups to build their knowledge, skills and experience to enhance their employability.

Limerick and Clare ETB, TUS and Limerick City and County Council will make presentations on the day.
