Limerick nominees shine in Irish language award categories

Seán Ó Maoilchiaráin, Annacotty

ANNACOTTY native, Seán Ó Maoilchiaráin, has been nominated for Réalta Óg na Bliana 2023, and radio show, Gaeilge Bhriste by Shirley Ní Ríagáin at West Limerick 102FM has been nominated for Clár Gaeilge na Bliana.

Seán previously studied Arts with Gaeilge and History at the University of Limerick, before hosting his own podcast Gaeilge Anois, and co-hosting a Radio Rí-Rá show, Comhscór.

The Limerick man also featured multiple times on BLOC TG4's social media, but now marks his TV debut on Cúla4.

Shirley Ní Ríagáin presents a lively mix of Irish language, music and literature on her podcast streamed through West Limerick 102FM.

The awards will be given on the basis of a public vote, and will be presented at the 2023 Oireachtas Communications Awards Ceremony on November 1.
