THE Mayor of the city and county of Limerick, Cllr Francis Foley and the Mayor of Clare, Cllr Tony O'Brien were among the special guests who helped ring in the Chinese New Year at the Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa on the outskirts of the city.

Representatives of the Chinese Association of Ireland were also guests at the hotel as they, along with their friends and family, celebrated The Chinese New Year in style during a night which was filled with some wonderful performances.

This year, the Chinese New Year fell on Sunday, January 22 and the celebrations will culminate with a Lantern Festival on February 5.

In the Chinese Zodiac, 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit.
