FIXTURES: Our Junior Premier hurlers open their season away against Bruree next Saturday, April 6 at 6.30pm. Our U17 Footballers in amalgamation with South Liberites play their first match away to Oola this Wednesday, April 3 at 18.30pm. The U13 footballers begin their season on Wednesday, April 3 at 6pm against Mungret in Crecora.
HURLING FEILE: We are very proud of our Feile team who put in a strong performance against Caherline, took a win against South Liberties and were beaten by Cappamore. The boys put in some great displays of hurling and teamwork. Thanks to all the parents and coaches involved. A special thank you to the mothers who provided some enjoyable refreshments on the day.
TEAM LIMERICK CLEAN-UP: The annual Team Limerick Clean Up took place again on Good Friday. There were 10 roads covered in the operation and a big thank you to all the volunteers on the day. It was lovely to see the community spirit willing to keep the locality clean. Special thanks to John McCarthy and Tim Ryan for organising collections.

WALKING GROUP: Crecora Community Walking Group invites you to join us on our outing to Ballyhoura. Meeting at Darragh Creamery Car Park on Sunday, April 7 at 12 noon. There are several walks to choose from which will suit all ages and levels of fitness. The walks are: Keale River walk - a very leisurely ramble along scenic river path with lots of little bridges in between! The Keale River walk is level and has a fairy village 3km from Darragh bridge. The other walks require a moderate to good level of fitness. We encourage you to bring along a picnic which can be enjoyed on the benches in the car park afterwards. We would love to meet as many people as possible on the day so please share this message. CON AND ANNIE KIRBY: We are now through to the quarter finals of the Con and Annie Kirby memorial stakes next Saturday night. Our nominated dog, Prince Nassem successfully navigated her way through Heat 1 on Easter Saturday night. Unfortunately two wins wasn't enough to send us through, but the lads should be proud of their efforts, with some great hurling on show in all three games. 80TH YEAR: East Board is 80 years in existence and we have a football tournament to mark the occasion, Oola GAA have kindly sponsored the Trophy for this tournament and the Board is greatly appreciate of this. FIXTURES: Junior Football League Fr Caseys Vs Banogue – Thursday April 4 in Abbeyfeale at 7.30pm
LIMERICK: There was no joy for the Limerick U20 Footballers last Saturday in Ballygran where they lost to Clare by 1-09 to 0-6 in round 3 of the Munster Championship. This results leaves them in third place in the group and they will now face Waterford in the Munster B Final to conclude their campaign. That game will take place in a neutral venue on April 10. Well done to Ronan, Michael, Dylan, Oisin & Marc for their efforts to date.
Next Sunday also sees the Limerick Senior Footballers start their Munster Championship campaign with a daunting away trip to Cork. We wish Jimmy Lee and his charges the very best of luck.
CLUB LIMERICK DRAW: The first Club Limerick Draw of the year took place last Saturday March 30. Unfortunately we had no club winner in this month’s draw. The next draw takes place on Saturday April 27, this will be the second of ten draws in 2024.
CON AND ANNIE KIRBY: The second round of the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stakes continued last Saturday night in the Limerick Greyhound Stadium. This year our club has been paired with Serene Rex who ran in the final Heat. Once more Serene Rex came home in second place to comfortably qualify for round three next Saturday night. Two down and three more nights to go, hopefully the winning run continues. Well done to JP McManus and family for sponsoring this fantastic event with €10,000 on offer for the GAA Club associated with the winning dog. We encourage all club members to visit the race track over the coming weeks.

GALTEE GAELS: The senior footballers next league game is away to Oola on April 20, the hope to arrange a couple of challenge game in the next couple of weeks, they still have to play Mungret St Pauls in the round two game which was deferred due to the pitch being unplayable because of the weather.
CLUB LIMERICK DRAW: The March draw took place on Saturday morning last Galtee Gaels had one winner in Ger Condon (Builder) of Kilglass who won €1,000. CLUB NA NÓG: On this Wednesday night the under seventeen team are away to Ballylanders in round one of the league at 6.30pm round two will take place two weeks later. The Féile Peil games did not take place last week due to the poor state of the pitches.
INTER COUNTY PLAYERS: Well done to all the players from the parish both in Ladies Football and Boys Football who lined out for a number of Limerick teams over the last few days.
LADIES FOOTBALL: The U19 girls suffered a two point defeat to Mungret St Pauls in a game played in UL sports ground. On this weekend the senior and junior B teams are away to Drom-Broadford, the U16 team at home to Knockainey and on Wednesday the U14 team are at home to Monaleen at 7pm.

LADIES FOOTBALL: Well done to Sive Finnerty, Sophia Neville, Eilís O Neill and Emma Somers who took part in the County U14 Blitz last weekend. Well done to Carol Bateman and the Limerick Football Team who reached the National League Final last weekend by overcoming Leitrim in a fantastic game. Final takes place in Birr, April 6 against Carlow.
FEILE: On a windy but sunny Saturday, March 30 our U-15 hurlers planted themselves in Clarina for their group matches. They met at the new pitch where there was a minutes silence for Aidan Goggin, one of our players grandfathers. Mungret St Pauls led Kilmallock from the start but with the last strike of the ball in extra time saw Kilmallock point a free to win the first game. Final score Mungret St. Pauls 1-7 Kilmallock 1-8.
There was a quick regroup before a trek to Ballybrowns clubhouse pitch for the second match. It took a few minutes for Mungret St Pauls to get used to the pitch and the breeze by the clubhouse and Ballybrown had built up a substantial lead of a goal and five points before we got off the ground. Ballybrown were the deserving winners Mungret St Pauls 0-4 Ballybrown 1-8.
It was back to the new pitch for the last of the group matches to play against Na Piarsaigh who had already qualified to go through to the semi finals with two wins and the decider of the other team to go through between Kilmallock and Ballybrown. It was a chance for Mungret St Pauls to put in a good game to finish out the day. Final score Mungret St. Pauls 2-6 Na Piarsaigh 0-5. Well done to all our players who took part and Thank you to all who attended to show their support and to Ballybrown for hosting the group matches, O’Sulllivans Centra in Clarina sponsored a man of the match prize which was presented to Ruairi Dwane for Mungret St Pauls. A special word of Thanks to the coaches involved that prepared the team well for the weekend. They now take a short break as our 15s prepare for the U16 championship which start in July but our U14 players are out on April 11. Best of luck to all in their respective championships.
SENIOR FOOTBALL: Well done to our footballers who traveled to the Castlebar 9s tournament for Saturday, March 30. They won three of their four matches in the group stage on the Saturday which left them to play in the quarter final on Sunday, March 31. They played Thomas Davis in the quarter final but were unlucky to lose on a final score of Mungret St. Pauls 1-4 Thomas Davis 2-7 with Thomas Davis going on to win the cup well done to all our players who took part Eoin O'H, Brian, Rob, Conor, Oisin, Jack, Ciaran, Brian, Darragh, JJ, Shane, Colin, David, Eoin R, Caoilte and Ronan and Thank you to the supporters who travelled to help out. .

NA PIARSAIGH
FEILE: Our U15 hurlers made the trip out to Ballybrown for the group stage of the Féile na nGael on Saturday morning. We were drawn in a very tough group alongside Ballybrown, Mungret and Kilmallock with our first game taking place in the Castle Field against the hosts. We took a 1-point win in this game against a strong Ballybrown side. The winning of the match was our first half performance only going in a point down while playing against a stiff breeze. Final score: Na Piarsaigh 1-4 Ballybrown 0-5 Scorers: Shane Waters 1-3, (2f) Charlie Ryan 0-1. We made the short walk across the road to Ballybrown’s new field for our tie with Kilmallock. Our opponents got off to a blistering start with a goal straight out of the blocks. We opted to play against the breeze in the first half with Kilmallock taking a 2-point lead at the break. The second saw our best scoring of the day with our lads outscoring Kilmallock by 8 points to 1. The victory saw us topping the group with Mungret having lost both of their opening games and us pipping Ballybrown on the head-to-head rule. Final score: Na Piarsaigh 0-11 Kilmallock 1-3 Scorers: Shane Waters 0-7, (4f) Charlie Ryan 0-2, (2f) Darragh Kirwan 0-1 Sean Ryan 0-1.
Our last group game saw us face Mungret. While on the losing side, we got some well needed minutes into the squad and saw players stake a claim for positions leading into the knockout stage fixed for Monday morning. We would like to thank all those that have supported the team over the weekend, and throughout the season up to now. MEMBERSHIP: Membership is now over due for 2024 season and can be paid through An Foireann or by contacting the club register Mixie Ryan. Membership is as follows, Adult Player €60, Underage Player €30, G4M&O €40, Non Player €50.
CLUB LIMERICK DRAW: The first draw of 2024took place on Saturday, March 30. Congrats to all winners especially our own club treasurer Tom Bourke who won 10th prize of €300.00
PATRICKSWELL
CITY SENIOR HURLING LEAGUE: Patrickswell Senior hurlers open the new season with a home fixture against Na Piarsaigh on Saturday April 6 at 6.30pm
CITY JUNIOR A HURLING LEAGUE: Patrickswell welcome St. Patrick's in the first fixture of the 2024 season on Sunday April 7 at 12 noon.
FEILE: Our U15 hurlers performed admirably at Limerick Feile and were pipped for a semi-final berth. The opening match against Pallasgreen was neck and neck, but our opponents won with the last puck of the game by 1-8 to 2-4. Patrickswell then recorded two consecutive victories of 0-6 to 0-3 over Kildimo-Pallaskenry and 1-11 to 0-6 over Hospital-Herbertstown. The final group match against Adare was the decider. Unfortunately our neighbours were in great form and Patrickswell lost out by 1-12 to 0-4. Hard luck to the players and management.
CON AND ANNIE KIRBY: Our two nominated greyhounds qualified for the third round of the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stakes. There are now 24 dogs remaining.
LOTTO: The Club Lotto draw on Monday March 25 was not won. The numbers drawn were 1, 9, 22 and 31. The bonus number was 6. The €100 Lucky Dip was won by Pat Davoren and the €20 prizes were claimed by Carmel Roberts, Kay Allen, Denis Daly, PJ & Aoibhin O'Grady and Ciara & Grace. This week's jackpot is €9,200.
MEMBERSHIP: Patrickswell Club Membership for 2024 is now payable via the ClubZap app. Anyone who paid their membership on ClubZap in 2023 would have received a 2024 Renewal Notice by e-mail.
CLUB MESSAGING: Patrickswell GAA Club has changed the way that club messages are issued to our members and supporters. Club messages will now be sent via the ClubZap app, except in cases where a user doesn't own a smartphone. In this instance, traditional text messages will continue to be used. When ClubZap is installed and "Patrickswell" is added as a club, look out for the messages in the "Patrickswell Announcements" section of the Chat bubble. Push Notifications will be sent to your phone .
SOUTH LIBERTIES
TEAM LIMERICK CLEAN-UP: A huge well done to everyone that participated in The Team Limerick Clean up last Good Friday, March 29. We had large numbers turn up at the Club House to collect their Hi Vis jackets, Pickers, gloves and bags before taking to the roads in various directions. Afterwards there was teas/coffees and hot cross buns.
CLUB LIMERICK DRAW: The March draw took place in Saturday, March 30. We had no winners this time but there is still loads of time to join. Remember there are loads of prizes to be won each month and half your proceeds come back to South Liberties. Log onto www.clublimerickdraw.ie or contact the committee.
FEILE: Our Feile hurlers took part in the preliminary rounds last Saturday morning in Cappamore. They won their first game but lost out on the next two games. They were very competitive in all three games despite just having the bare 15. Most of these lads will compete in the football semi-final in two weeks time.
LOTTO: Our Parish Lotto is now over €3,000. Weekly tickets can be purchased in any of the local public premises or again contact any committee member.
SCOR: The Limerick Senior Scór took place last March 21 in Mungret GAA Clubhouse. Our South Liberties quiz team of Jack O'Brien, Mike O'Brien, John Cooney and Eddie Noonan finished joint fourth with Mungret being the winners. Thanks to these men for representing the club and well done.
