Regional United in Munster Junior action and Lawson Cup ties scheduled in Limerick District League

REGIONAL United are on the road on Sunday to meet Coachford AFC vying for a place in the semi-finals of the Munster Junior Cup.

The Cork side are current Munster champions and recognised as one of the best in the country.

Regional Utd have a good history in this competition and will relish the opportunity to lower the colours of the home side.

A 3-2 win over Corbally United in the Lawson Cup on Saturday will have buoyed them up but they know Sunday’s task is a bigger ask but the Reds are well capable of getting a result.

The Lawson Cup continues apace with three more games scheduled.

Aisling following their superb MFA win last weekend will welcome Lough Derg to Annacotty.

Murroe A’s good season should continue when they visit Castle Rovers while Caherdavin Celtic and Prospect Priory cross swords at the Greenhills.

In the Premier League, leaders Fairview Rgs make the short trip to Garryowen to meet
Geraldines.

Fairview have not had a game in a few weeks while Dines played out a hard fought 1-1 draw last weekend with Athlunkard Villa.

Second placed Balla face a sticky task away to an improving Nenagh side.

They will be keen to maintain the single point gap between them and leaders Fairview as we race to the end stage of the title race.

Pike Rovers’ win over Cappamore last weekend was their first in four games and may well have been all that was needed to reboot their season. On Sunday they host Athlunkard Villa picked up a vital points last weekend v the 'Dines.

Janesboro welcome Mungret Regional in the remaining Premier tie with pride the motivating factor for both sides.

In the Premier A League, leaders Star Rvs travel to Charleville on Saturday night while Sunday sees a crucial game when second placed Moyross welcome third placed Regional Utd B.

Kilmallock Utd A are still well in the hunt but need to take all points at home to Aisling Annacotty B while Newport Town A are in last chance territory when they host Carew Limerick Utd

Division 1A leaders Herbertstown A host Ballylanders 1B leaders Balla B are on the road
at Kilfrush Crusaders.

In Youth football, two Limerick sides are in FAI action. Aisling Annacotty are favoured with home advantage when they welcome Kinvara while Cork side Douglas Hall will host Mungret Regional.

In the youth Premier League, joint leaders Holycross and Fairview will be expected to keep their challenge on course in their respective games against Shelbourne and Murroe.
