THE Limerick Women’s and Schoolgirls’ Soccer League (LWSSL) 2025 season has delivered plenty of excitement, with league champions now confirmed in both Division 1 and Division 2.

While a few fixtures remain to settle the final table, the title was never in doubt, with Aisling proving the outstanding side of the season. Well done to all teams in division 1, Moyross Utd, Newtown Rovers, Bridge Celtic, Herbertstown, Listowel Celtic and Mungret Regional.

Meanwhile, Division 2 produced a dramatic finale, with the title race going down to the very last game. Murroe entered their decisive clash with Ballylanders needing either a win or a draw to claim the championship. In front of a strong home crowd, Murroe battled to a 1–1 draw, enough to secure the 2025 Division 2 crown. Ballylanders finished runners-up, followed by Regional, Lough Derg, and Kilfrush Crusaders.

With the league winners now decided, all eyes turn to the LWSSL Cup Finals, which will be hosted at Pike Rovers FC in September. Supporters can look forward to two weekends of high-quality football.
