FORMER Limerick hurling captain Declan Hannon has been unveiled as part of the Bord Gáis Energy GAA Legends Tour Series.
The Bord Gáis Energy GAA Legends Tour Series gives supporters the chance to listen to greats of the game give a fascinating insight into their careers.
In a glittering career, Hannon won five All-Ireland titles and seven Munster crowns in one of the most successful captaincies the sport has ever seen.
The Legends that will lead a tour during the 2026 series alongside Hannon include John Small (Dublin), David Burke (Galway), Dickie Murphy (Wexford), Brian ‘Beano’ McDonald (Laois), Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh (Kerry) and Grace Walsh (Kilkenny), with more to be announced in the coming weeks.
The players will be interviewed by a GAA Museum tour guide about their career, giving people a tour through their earliest memories of playing Gaelic Games, lining out for club and county, their heroes and their Croke Park memories.
Tours will run from 16th May until 8th August, to coincide with the Hurling, Football, Ladies Football and Camogie Championships.
