LIMERICK camogie manager David Deady has said that his side will “relish” their Munster Senior Championship semi-final at SuperValu Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The Bruree man was speaking after the disappointment of missing out on a league final place, losing to Dublin at Abbotstown on Saturday.

Saturday's nine-point defeat meant it was the home side who will join Clare in the final - meaning Limerick have no more competitive matches until the Championship.

The ‘Treaty’ face the winner of Cork v Tipperary in a game that will act as a curtain-raiser to the Munster SHC clash between Limerick and the ‘Rebels’.

“It will be a good experience for the girls, they will learn an awful lot from the day,” Deady said. “As a management we will learn an awful lot too. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to play below at Páirc Ui Chaoimh.

“It will give the girls exposure that they deserve to have. (The Dublin game was) the biggest crowd they have played in front of and there’s a couple of hundred people here.” The game against the Dubs’ exposed Limerick to a higher level of competition compared to the wins over the likes of Offaly and Down.

“Dublin are a very, very good side. They are only down from Division 1A, it’s a gap we are trying to close.

“It’s going to take a bit of time. The performance here I don’t want it to take away from the first four games and the improvement we have seen.”
