Strong second half showing propels Limerick past Waterford in Munster Hurling League final

LIMERICK claimed the Co-Op Superstores Munster Senior Hurling League title with an impressive 0-23 to 0-15 victory over Waterford in the final played in Mallow on Saturday afternoon.

An impressive second half showing from John Kiely's men proved crucial to their success in the early season competition.

Limerick had held a one-point half-time lead, 0-11 to 0-10. The Shannonsiders then outscored the Deise 0-12 to 0-5 in the second period to claim the title.
