Seven Limerick players nominated for 2025 PwC GAA/GPA Hurling All-Stars

Goalkeeper Nickie Quaid is among seven Limerick players nomoinated for 2025 All-Star Awards

SEVEN Limerick players are among the 45 nominated for the 2025 PwC GAA/GPA Hurling All-Stars.

The seven Limerick players to gain nominations are goalkeeper Nickie Quaid, defenders Mike Casey, Kyle Hayes and Tom Morrissey as well as midfielder Adam English and forwards Aaron Gillane and Cian Lynch.

Doon clubbman English has also been short-listed for the Young Hurler of the Year accolade along with the Tipperary duo Darragh McCarthy and Robert Doyle.

The full breakdown of nominations is Tipperary 13, Cork 11, Limerick seven, Kilkenny six, Dublin four, Waterford two and one each for Galway and Wexford.

The three players nominated for the PwC GAA/GPA Hurler of the Year are Tipperary's John McGrath and Jake Morris as well as Brian Hayes, of Cork.

The PwC GAA GPA Hurler of the Year will be chosen by the playing fraternity, while the Under 22 starlets for Young Hurler of the Year will also be voted on by players.

The PwC All-Stars will be presented at a gala black-tie event at Dublin’s RDS on Friday November 7, which will be shown live on RTÉ. The nominees for the PwC All-Stars for football will be announced tomorrow morning.
