Fixture details revealed for Limerick Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals

THE VENUES and times have been revealed for the Whitebox Limerick senior hurling championship semi-finals next weekend.

Ballybrown will face holders Doon in the semi-finals of the championship on Sunday October 5 in Kilmallock at 4pm following their hard-earned 0-20 to 2-10 quarter-final victory over Adare. Kevin Lally's side just did enough to defeat Adare in the Limerick SHC quarter-final.

Aidan O'Connor and Colin Coughlan hit 0-11 between them in Ballybrown's four point victory.Limerick senior hurler Declan Hannon missed Sunday's clash for Adare through injury.

The second semi-final will also be played on Sunday October 5, which will see Na Piarsaigh do battle with Kilmallock in Bruff at 1:45pm.

Kilmallock booked their place into the semi-finals after a 2-27 to 0-30 extra-time quarter-final win over Monaleen at Bruff on Sunday afternoon. The sides had finished deadlocked 1-21 to 0-24 at the end of 60 minutes.

Kilmallock battled to a hard-earned three-point win over Monaleen in the south Limerick venue on Sunday, showing great resolve despite the absence of Micheál Houlihan, Gearóid Enright, and Graeme Mulcahy. Limerick senior hurler Shane O’Brien, who hit 2-13, proved the decisive figure in driving Kilmallock over the line.

The final of the Whitebox Property Developments Ltd Limerick SHC is due to take place on Sunday, October 19, 3.30pm.

Meanwhile, table toppers Effin will meet fourth-placed Blackrock in the Lyons of Limerick Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship semi-final on Saturday October 4 in Kilmallock at Kilmallock at 4pm. Last year's beaten county finalists Garryspillane will take on Croagh-Kilfinny in the other PIHC semi-final on Saturday October 4 in Ballyagran at 2pm.

South Liberties and Glenroe both finished level at the bottom of the table on four points.That now means both clubs will face-off in a relegation final on Saturday October 4 in Bruff at 3pm.

Elsewhere, Feohanagh face Bruree on Saturday October 4 in Feenagh at 3pm and Na Piarsaigh take on Murroe Boher on the same day in Claughaun at 4pm in the Limerick Intermediate Hurling championship semi-finals.

Pallasgreen defeated Croom in the IHC relegation final on Thursday evening, a result which will see Croom play Premier Junior hurling in 2026. St Kieran's and Knockainey meet in the Intermediate Hurling Championship county cup final on Sunday October 5 in Ballingarry at 12pm.

Doon's second team face Caherline on Saturday October 4 in Fedamore at 3pm and ABK Desmonds take on Knockaderry on Sunday October 5 in Sean Finn Park, Rathkeale at 1pm in the Premier Junior Hurling Championship semi-finals. 

Dromcollogher Broadford defeated Monagea in the premier junior hurling championship relegation final to relegate Monagea into the Junior A Hurling Championship.
