THE OPENING ROUND of fixtures in the Limerick senior club hurling championship have been confirmed.
Group one of the senior hurling championship consists of Doon, Na Piarsaigh, Kilmallock, Patrickswell, Ballybrown and Ahane.
Last year's senior hurling championship semi-finalists Kilmallock and Patrickswell face off in Newcastle West on Thurday July 31 at 7pm.
On Friday August 1, county champions Doon meet Na Piarsaigh in a repeat of the county final in the TUS Gaelic Grounds at 7pm. Ahane take on Ballybrown on Saturday August 2 in Claughaun at 3pm.

Meanwhile group two features Adare, Monaleen, Mungret St Paul's, Dromin-Athlacca, Kildimo-Pallaskenry and Newcastle West.
In group two, Monaleen face Adare on Thursday July 31 in Fedamore at 7pm. Premier intermediate champions Newcastle West make their return to senior hurling against Mungret St Paul's in Mick Neville Park on Friday August 1 at 7pm.
Kildimo-Pallaskenry and Dromin-Athlacca meet in the final game of the weekend on Saturday August 2 at 7pm in Ballyagran.
