A number of key trains across Friday, Saturday and Sunday are already sold out, with others approaching that mark.

With Limerick playing Dublin in the All-Ireland quarter-final (Saturday, 4pm), three Zach Bryan concerts at Phoenix Park, and a range of other concerts and events, it is set to be one of the busiest weekends of the year for rail travel.

Iarnród Éireann are advising customers that train tickets must be bought in advance for Intercity travel this weekend.

Amongst the extra services operating over the weekend, Limerick hurling supporters are reminded that a special train from Dublin Connolly to Limerick is operating after the match on Saturday evening at 8.30pm.

Search Dublin Connolly to Limerick on Iarnród Éireann's journey planner at www.irishrail.ie or the Iarnród Éireann app to avail of this service.
