PICTURES: Limerick's South Liberties GAA Club celebrate special commemoration

SOUTH Liberties GAA Club celebrated the club's County Senior hurling title wins of 1972, 1976, 1978 and 1981 at Ballyneety Golf Club and officially launched a special commemorative 112-page book entitled "Green and Gold Ribbons".

There was a large crowd in attendance, including many of the great players who donned the famed Green and Gold jersey during that glorious period, accompanied by their families, clubmates and many friends.

Also present was the much coveted John Daly cup, the prize given to Limerick county senior hurling final winning captains for almost a century and named after the illustrious former Fenian Mayor of Limerick, John Daly, of Barrington St. (1845-1916).
