There was a large crowd in attendance, including many of the great players who donned the famed Green and Gold jersey during that glorious period, accompanied by their families, clubmates and many friends. Also present was the much coveted John Daly cup, the prize given to Limerick county senior hurling final winning captains for almost a century and named after the illustrious former Fenian Mayor of Limerick, John Daly, of Barrington St. (1845-1916).
